Brazilian CAMIL receives cheque for carbon credits

Monday 5th November, at the first day of the Dutch Trade Mission to Brazil, BTG director René Venendaal handed over a symbolic cheque of EUR 1,499,999 to the CEO of CAMIL, the No. 1 rice producer in Brazil.
The cheque was handed over on behalf of BioHeat International b.v. (see www.bioheat-international.com ), a 100% subsidiary of BTG. BTG works together with CAMIL on projects that reduce greenhouse gases. BTG has built up a large CDM BioEnergy Portfolio in Brazil, of which the CERs are sold to European companies. Handbook Biomass Gasification: the latest insights by international experts bundled in one publication

   
 

A new publication covering technical, economic, market, environmental and policy issues requiring consideration for the establishment of a successful European biomass gasification industry is issued in September 2005. The Handbook on Biomass Gasification, edited by Harrie Knoef from BTG, presents a comprehensive overview of the topics and issues explored and discussed in the European Commission sponsored Gasification Network, GasNet, in 2001-2004. Twenty-five international biomass gasification experts contributed to the Handbook.
