BTG Biomass Technology Group BV (BTG) is an independent,
private firm which for the past 20 years has specialised
in the process of conversion of biomass into useful fuels
and energy. BTG has as its mission the world-wide development
and implementation of economic and environmentally sound
bio-energy systems.
BTGs fields of expertise include:

energy conversion processes (combustion, gasification,
pyrolysis, biomass liquefaction, and anaerobic digestion).

production of solid and liquid biofuels (pellets, briquettes,
charcoal, bio-oil)

biomass and biofuels logistics (collecting, handling, storage,

The staff of 50 experts and support personnel offer a broad range of
services on technical, financial and economic aspects of bio-energy
systems, such as:

Since its establishment in 1979, BTG has completed over 500

and foreign spin-off companies.
BTG serves its clients from three locations in Europe and Central
America. The head office and laboratories are located in Enschede,
the Netherlands. Subsidiaries in San Jose (Costa Rica) and Prague
(Czech Republic) support the market development
activities in Latin America and Central Europe respectively.
