History

BTG was officially founded in 1979 at the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands. Over the years the company developed rapidly and changed ownership multiple times.

Mission and Vision

BTG wants to contribute significantly, in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner, to increase the share of bio-energy in the primary energy supply through facilitating, development and implementation of bio-energy projects and programs all over the world.

Structure

BTG Biomass Technology Group BV is shareholder of multiple daugther companies like BTG-BTL, BTG Central Europe and Bioheat International. BTG's internal organization is structured around management, support staff, RTD and consultancy.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Although BTG is developing the renewable energy technology of the future it is aware of its social responsibility nowadays. BTG is always trying to reduce its energy use and compensates necessary emissions with carbon credits. This makes the operations of BTG completely carbon neutral.
