Transfer of 488.528 AAUs from BTG BioHeat's JI BioEnergy Portfolio

30-6-2008

BTG BioHeat International bv, the carbon credit trading company of BTG, has obtained a Letter of Approval from the Minister of Environment of the Czech Republic. The letter facilitates the transfer of 488.528 AAUs (so called "early credits") from the JI BioEnergy Portfolio of BTG BioHeat in Czech Republic. The AAUs reflect the number of carbon credits generated by 14 small and medium scale bioenergy projects (district heating and CHP-stations) before the year 2008. The total JI BioEnergy Portfolio of BTG BioHeat in Czech Republic covers almost 1,3 million credits (ERUs and AAUs). The JI-contract signed between BTG BioHeat and the Dutch Government was one the first in the world and the only contract left from the first ERU-pt round of the Dutch Government in 2001 that was implemented successfully.
